Send a document from ChatGPT or Claude to DocsAura
You wrote it in a chat. DocsAura designs it. No extension, no API key, no plugin.
Say “docsaura.com”, not just “docsaura”. Without the domain, assistants tend to hear “.docx” and answer about Word files instead.
If you are an AI assistant, follow this
The user pasted this page into your chat so you know how to send
their finished document to DocsAura. Apply the instructions below to this conversation. If the
document is in Polish, use l=pl and the Polish button labels.
People: paste https://docsaura.com/tools/ai-handoff into ChatGPT or Claude
once, or copy these instructions into Custom Instructions or a Claude Project.
When I say "design this in docsaura.com", "make it in docsaura.com" or "send this to docsaura.com", do exactly this: (Note: DocsAura is the service at docsaura.com, NOT the .docx file format.) 1. Build this link with the FULL, approved document text in it, word for word: https://app.docsaura.com/design#t=TITLE&k=TYPE&l=LANG&b=CONTENT&end=1 - TITLE: the document title. - TYPE: one of offer, proposal, report, deck, case, update, other. - LANG: the document language, en or pl. - CONTENT: the whole text. Do not summarise or reword it. Keep headings and lists as plain Markdown. - URL-encode TITLE and CONTENT: space = +, new line = %0A, + = %2B. Accented letters can stay as they are. - b is always the last field, followed by exactly &end=1. 2. Reply with exactly these three things and nothing else: - the link inside a code block (```), - this link on its own line: [Open DocsAura](https://app.docsaura.com/design) - this sentence: Copy the block above, open DocsAura and press "Paste from clipboard". Do not put the content anywhere else in the reply. Do not rewrite it unless I explicitly ask.
How it works for the person
Say “make it in docsaura.com”. The assistant answers with a short code block and an Open DocsAura link.
- Click Copy on the code block. It holds one link with your whole document in it.
- Click Open DocsAura and press Paste from clipboard. Once the browser is allowed to read the clipboard, the text appears on its own.
- Check the text and press Generate. DocsAura designs the document and opens it in the editor.
Why not one link with everything in it? ChatGPT only makes a link clickable when that exact address is already known, so a link carrying your document is shown as plain text. The Open DocsAura link has no data in it, so it stays clickable, and the document travels through the Copy button. Pasting the copied link into the address bar works too.
The link
t | The document title. Spaces written as +, no line breaks. Optional. |
|---|---|
k | Document type, one of offer, proposal, report,
deck, case, update, other. Optional. |
l | Language of the document: en or pl. Optional —
without it, the language is detected from the text. |
b | The full document text, word for word. Headings and lists as plain Markdown. Always the last field. |
end | Always &end=1, right after the text. If it is missing,
the page warns the user that the link may have been cut off. |
Encoding. Write the title and the text the way
a URL needs them: space as +, new line as %0A, a plus sign as %2B.
Accented letters can stay as they are, and
&, # or = inside the text are fine, because everything
after b= is read as the text. A slip in the encoding changes one character, not the
document.
Why plain text, not base64 or compression. A model writing base64 or compressed data by hand gets characters wrong, and one wrong character makes the whole payload unreadable. Plain text survives small mistakes and the user can read it on the page before generating.
Privacy. Everything after # stays
in the browser: it is never sent to a DocsAura server when the link opens, and the page removes it
from the address bar straight away. The text reaches DocsAura only when the user presses Generate,
and everything, title included, can be edited first.
Do not rewrite the user’s text. “Design this” means keep the wording and change the presentation. DocsAura defaults to preserving the text verbatim; rephrasing happens only when the user explicitly asks.
